man i tried 3 different golf shoes, and they hurt a lot. if i wear regular flat shoes, is that against usga rules?

Answer by Bv NI don't think so. But it is for your safety in the course to wear something with spikes so you won't slip and slide in wet grass, slopes, and sand traps.
I would recommend hiking shoes if you are uncomfortable in golf shoes.
