Golf Tip - Hit Down on the Ball

In order to get the ball in the air correctly with our irons, the club needs to approach the ball making a descending blow. When golfers top the golf ball one main cause is that golfers are coming up at the ball in an ascending motion. The ascending angle of attack usually happens when the weight hangs back on the trail side and the wrists flip (scoop) the golf club causing the club head to contact the top half of the ball.
